Astronaut "Rick" Hauck
"Space - Where Have We Been? Where Are We Going?"
The quest to explore, and the momentum of the glory days of the Apollo program gave birth to the development of the "most complex machine in the world", the space shuttle. In the wake of the last space shuttle fight, Rick Hauck will illuminate where this journey started, and where it is headed."
After the presentation there will be an opportunity to try out the Island Astronomy Institute's own "Hands In Space" museum exhibit and feel what it is like to work in a vacuum.
