The 2011 poster design was created by Artist, Astronomer and Author Dr. Tyler Nordgren of Redlands University, California, who also designed the 2009 and 2010 Acadia Night Sky Festival Posters. This 2011 poster was selected from three candidates, it received nearly 70% of the votes. Tyler’s passion for connecting spectacular natural scenery with pristine night skies through nationally recognized photography and artwork are featured in his recently published "STARS ABOVE, EARTH BELOW, A Guide to Astronomy In The National Parks".
